Ten Outstanding Young Entrepreneurs Honored as 2025 Global Young Entrepreneur Stars

The award recipients of the 2025 Global Young Entrepreneur Stars have finally been announced. Since 2021, the Overseas Community Affairs Council (OCAC) has organized the Global Young Entrepreneur Stars Award to support the growth of young entrepreneurs from overseas compatriot communities and to recognize those with outstanding achievements. The award offers one-on-one advisory services and mentorship to recipients, helping them strengthen their business networks. This year’s selection attracted 36 young entrepreneurs from 14 countries across five continents, with ten finalists ultimately selected and honored.

For the selection committee, the OCAC invited professionals from various fields, including representatives from domestic and international businesses, overseas chambers of commerce, and research and development institutions. The committee evaluates candidates based on four criteria: business competence, growth potential, influence, and other notable achievements. The Selection Committee meeting, held on August 5th, was chaired by OCAC Deputy Minister Jhao-Syong Ruan. Deputy Minister Ruan noted that the young entrepreneurs participating in this year’s selection came from diverse fields and brought impressive credentials. He also highlighted that, for the first time, overseas missions assisted in verifying candidates’ application materials, ensuring a rigorous and practical selection process.

This year’s Global Young Entrepreneur Stars represent a variety of industries, including aerospace, beauty, hospitality, education, e-commerce packaging, printing, food and beverage, cultural and creative sectors, elderly home care, and international trade. This year marks the first time an award winner has come from the United Kingdom. The selection committee praised the young entrepreneurs for their close ties to various industries, their contributions to overseas communities, and their strong potential for growth. The OCAC hopes that the Global Young Entrepreneur Stars Award will serve as a platform for exchange and sharing of experiences among young entrepreneurs, thereby fostering connections with domestic and international industry and academia to promote further development and collaboration.
